Beyond the Garage: Stephen Adams and the Heart of Community

While Stephen Adams has spent most of his life steeped in the auto industry, the true engine driving him isn't horsepower—it's people. Tired of the corporate mindset where customers were treated "just a number," Stephen and his wife Michelle decided to forge a new path, opening Buckhead Auto Sport in October 2015. Their goal was to create a local business rooted in personal trust and accountability.

For Stephen, that commitment starts at home. He and Michelle are raising their two children, Tinsley and Liam, in the very community their business serves. "I live here and I’m going to be here for a while, so I have to take care of these people," Stephen explains. He understands that the people dropping off their European cars are the same people he sees outside of work: "I can’t treat them like a number, because I will probably see them at dinner or play golf with them over the weekend. They’re more than customers, really. They are my neighbors, my friends, my family."

This family-first philosophy extends into the business's DNA. Stephen has built a "priceless" crew—including his mentor, Mark McDowell, who has worked with the Adams family since 1976—who share his commitment to personalized, flawless service. But when the garage doors close, Stephen’s focus shifts completely back to family walks on the BeltLine, enjoying time with Tinsley and Liam, and supporting local causes.

Ultimately, Stephen Adams's story isn't just about premium auto care; it’s about a dedicated family man pouring his personal values into every facet of his professional life, ensuring that the legacy he builds serves the people he loves.
